It’s a shame the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is no longer being produced, as the Evolution X is the final iteration of the storied rally car. This particular Evo boasts the desirable 5-speed manual transmission, and it’s been modified for even better performance than stock. Some of those modifications include a MAPerformance tubular exhaust manifold, an HKS blow off valve, an ETS exhaust system, and a set of 18-inch RAYS Gram Lights 57DR wheels ā all of which are desirable.
Highlights
THIS… is a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR, finished in Apex Silver Metallic with a black interior.
- This Evolution X is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.
- According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, factory equipment includes Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), a rear limited-slip differential, a Brembo braking system, a rear spoiler, Recaro front sport seats, remote keyless entry, and cruise control.
- Modifications to this Evolution X are extensive, and the full list is detailed below. Highlights include a MAPerformance tubular exhaust manifold, an ACT 6-puck clutch kit, 18-inch RAYS Gram Lights 57DR wheels, Rally Armor mud flaps, and an Alpine SBS-1041BP subwoofer.
- Mitsubishi’s 10th and final Lancer Evolution arrived for 2008. It gained a new, more powerful engine, a revised suspension system, and a design inspired by sharks and fighter jets, according to the company. MR denoted an automatic transmission; stick-shifted variants were called GSR. Mitsubishi canceled the Lancer Evolution in 2016, and it all but confirmed the model will not return in the foreseeable future.
- Power comes from a “4B11T” 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, rated at 291 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque in stock form. Due to the modifications performed to this Evolution X, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission, limited-slip front and rear differentials, and Mitsubishi’s permanent Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel-drive system.
