2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
Highlights
THIS… is a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR, finished in Rally Red Metallic with a black interior.
This Evolution X features the desirable 5-speed manual transmission.
According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, factory equipment includes Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), a front helical limited-slip differential, a rear limited-slip differential, a Brembo braking system, Recaro front sport seats, a FAST-key entry system, and a 9-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system.
Modifications to this Evolution X are extensive, and the full list reported by the seller is detailed below. Highlights include a built MAPerformance Stage 2 shortblock with Stage 3 cylinder head preparation, a Garrett G-Series G30-900 turbocharger, Injector Dynamics ID1700x fuel injectors, an OS Giken TR twin plate clutch, Girodisc 2-piece brake rotors, a GReddy exhaust system, a Seibon carbon fiber hood, Varis side skirt diffusers, an APR GTC-300 rear wing, 18-inch RAYS Volk Racing ZE40 wheels, and Ćhlins Road & Track coilovers.
Mitsubishi’s 10th and final Lancer Evolution arrived for 2008. It gained a new, more powerful engine, a revised suspension system, and a design inspired by sharks and fighter jets, according to the company. MR denoted an automatic transmission; stick-shifted variants were called GSR. Mitsubishi canceled the Lancer Evolution in 2016, and it all but confirmed the model will not return in the foreseeable future.
Power comes from a “4B11T” 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, rated at 291 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque in stock form. A dyno video that can be viewed below shows that this Evolution X currently produces approximately 670 horsepower at the wheels with an E85 tune after a correction factor is applied. Output is sent to the four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission, limited-slip front and rear differentials, and Mitsubishi’s permanent Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system.
